The Mitre Box fits firmly into the Cam Lock and holds work at any angle to the cutter. You can use it to make mitred (secret) dovetails, mitred laps or even hold table-legs horizontal to cut sliding dovetails. The Mitre Box is also used for holding small pieces horizontal above the reach of the cam clamp.
